Burke Springs
Burke and Leora Seegmiller moved to a quiet 40 acre ranch in the county close to Washington Utah more than 30 years ago. They had 3 fresh water springs at one time and still have one spring that services their property today. Up to their passing a few years ago they saw many changes to the land around them. Most had to do with their family and friends. Burke and Leora raised 6 children on this property and held many gatherings over the years for friends and family. Some of the ranch was sold early on to Leora’s brother Nyron Sorenson and other parcels were sold to friends that wanted a quiet rural lifestyle. In the 1990’s their property was officially annexed into the City of Washington and a new master planned community started to develop around them. That community eventually became Coral Canyon. In 2004, Nyron sold his property to Perry Homes of Salt Lake City and Sant Pacific, Inc. of St. George Utah. Phase #1 of The Estates at Burke Springs has been developed on that land and consists of 33 lots with views overlooking Coral Canyon. After Burke and Leora’s passing, their family joined with Perry Homes and Sant Pacific, Inc. to develop Phase #2 which will consist of approximately 60 additional lots.
